• Do I have to be a Miles & More member to participate in the promotion?

    A Miles & More membership number is required to participate in the promotion. You can enrol in the Miles & More programme here.

  • What is the Status Match promotion?

    Statusmatch.com, in cooperation with Miles & More, offers participants who hold eligible frequent flyer status in eligible frequent flyer programmes listed in the table below an equivalent frequent flyer status in the Miles & More programme.

  • Which Miles & More frequent flyer status can I obtain through the promotion?

    Depending on the tier held by eligible status holders, they will receive either Frequent Traveller status or Senator status with Miles & More.

  • How long will the status be valid if my application for a Status Match is approved?

    If your application is approved, you will receive the corresponding frequent flyer status in the Miles & More programme within 10 business days, valid until 28 February 2025 and receive a further year extension if you meet the following requirements, either:

    a) Frequent Traveller Challenge: Complete 2 flight segments with Lufthansa Group airlines or co-issuing Miles & More airline partners* by 30.11.2024 to extend status to 28.02.2026.

    b) Senator Challenge: Complete 6 flight segments with Lufthansa Group airlines or co-issuing Miles & More airline partners* by 30.11.2024 to extend status to 28.02.2026.

    *Eligible airlines: Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Discover Airlines, Eurowings, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City, Luxair and SWISS.

    If you complete the challenge requirement, your status extensions to 02/26 will be assessed for all status match challenge participants after 30.11.24 and granted where challenge requirements have been met. There is no tracking of challenge requirements in the mobile app.

  • Is there a fee to apply for a Status Match?

    Participation in the promotion is free of charge.

  • I hold elite status with an airline not listed in the Tier Mapping table - can I still participate in the promotion?

    Only status members of the eligible frequent flyer programmes listed in the tier mapping table can apply.

  • How long is the Status Match offer valid for?

    The promotion ends on 30 September 2024 or earlier at the discretion of Lufthansa, Miles & More or StatusMatch.com

  • What information must I provide to participate in the Status Match promotion?

    To participate in the promotion, you need your Miles & More service card number, your eligible other frequent flyer status card number, and a valid e-mail address at which we can reach you.

    During the registration process, we will also ask you for proof of your eligible frequent flyer status (e.g., a photo of your status card), and you may be requested to provide and complete an identity check, including your passport or driver's licence.

  • How long does it take to receive my new Miles & More status through the promotion?

    You will be informed within three days after submitting the requested information, whether your status match has been approved. Once approved, it may take up to 10 business days until your frequent flyer status is upgraded in your Miles & More customer account.

    During holiday periods such as Christmas and New Year's holidays, some delays in the upgrading process are possible.

    After your frequent flyer status has been upgraded, you will receive an e-mail from Miles & More, containing information on how to make the most of your frequent flyer status with Miles & More.

    Please download the Miles & More app to access your digital service card, which will show your status. Miles & More will not send out any physical service cards.

  • What benefits and privileges are the Miles & More status levels offering?

    Please note that members receiving a Senator status through this promotion will not receive any eVouchers with the status upgrade and will not be able to use the mileage advance privilege.

  • I have lifetime status with EuroBonus - can I get the same with Miles & More?

    No. The Miles & More status match is a like-for-like match-of status membership for the described time period on offer only. For clarification: This offer is the same no matter you hold lifetime or non-lifetime Eurobonus status.

  • Can I claim past sectors as eligible flights under the status match offer?

    No. Only new flights taken after your Miles & More account has been upgraded will count towards the qualification criteria.

  • Are codeshare flights eligible?

    Your eligible flight must have a flight number that is marked as LH, LX, OS, SN, EW, 4Y, VL, EN, LO, LG, OU and be operated by one of the eligible airlines.

  • Do reward seats count as eligible sectors?


  • Does a train and flight sector count?

    Only flight sectors count.

    Flight segments are defined from the following example: Booking from Oslo to Rome which has a stopover or connecting flight from Frankfurt so actually goes Oslo-Frankfurt-Rome = 2 segments towards the challenge requirements.

  • Do I have to enter my Miles & More number or EuroBonus number?

    You must use your Miles & More number to receive credit on your Miles & More account for all Star Alliance and partner airline flights.

  • I am flying tomorrow and was approved but the upgrade doesn’t show in my account yet, can I claim that flight?

    Only flights taken after your Miles & More status is reflected on your account will count. Please remember that it may take up to 10 business days between the application and your new Miles & More account status to be shown on your account.
